In 2021, DHL Freight for the first time received four ISO certifications from DEKRA. Now the annual recertification was due – which we passed again. For you as a customer, this means first and foremost certainty: You can be certain that we are transporting your goods throughout Europe conscientiously – and with the highest quality standards, the best working conditions, and sustainable solutions.
The DEKRA certification body has issued a total of four ISO certificates to DHL Freight in 2021. Since then, annual checks have been carried out to ensure that the high international industry standards are consistently met – these assessments are known as recertification. It gives customers the assurance that they can rely on their logistics service provider – year after year. Now it was time for the 2023 recertification.
The reassessment covered our four ISO certifications:
- ISO 9001 (quality management)
- ISO 45001 (occupational safety and health protection)
- ISO 14001 (environmental management)
- ISO 50001 (energy management)
And just like last year, we passed it in full!

The four certificates issued by DEKRA’s independent certification board apply to all divisions of DHL Freight, to all 54 European DHL Freight units as well as the DHL Freight special units such as DHL FoodLogistics or DHL Global Event Logistics and the Unitrans network partners in Germany. In total, 313 locations are properly certified.
