Transit Time

What is a Transit Time?

Transit time is the interval needed for a shipment to be delivered once it has been picked up from the point of departure. Basically, it is the amount of time spent when moving goods from one point to another.

The transit time vary according to route and the mode of transportation used. The exact time is mostly measured in hours and days.

This is the amount of time interval spent while transferring goods between two or more transport vehicles.
