Tail Lift

What is a Tail Lift?

A tail lift, also known as a lifting platform, is the tailboard of a truck that can be lowered to the level of the road surface for easier loading and unloading. The tail lift can be tilted from vertical to horizontal and then lowered or raised horizontally - a movement usually achieved directly or indirectly by hydraulic cylinders. It can be operated either from the loading platform or by means of controls on the side of the truck.
