What is a Route Calculator?

Also known as a route planner or a journey planner, a route calculator is a computer software programme specialized in finding the most optimal route between two or more given locations. A route calculator can also calculate petrol expenses and highlight different alternatives for the same direction, such as the cheapest, fastest, shortest, fewest changes or fewer traffic routes.
