Free Alongside Ship (FAS)
What is Free Alongside Ship?
Free Alongside Ship is a term used in the shipment of goods via the sea. The rule clearly stipulates that the seller delivers goods alongside a vessel and clears them for shipping. The goods must also be delivered at a named port after which the risks and the costs of shipment is transferred to the buyer.
