Cockpit

What is a Cockpit?

A cockpit, also known as driver's cab, driver's cabin, is the part of a vehicle that forms the space for the driver. As a rule, it is closed and heatable. The primary function of the cockpit is to enable the driver to drive the vehicle safely. In addition, there are often facilities that the driver can use during rest periods and breaks - such as a rest couch.

In logistics, the term cockpit also refers to the ongoing visual processing of important data in a logistics control centre. For example, a supply chain cockpit serves to visualise and control supply chains.
