Name: Renáta Zaja
Country: Hungary
Job title: BPO Manager
At Freight since: 2015
How did your career at Freight begin?
Just by chance, I was at a business meeting and learned about the job opening. The next day I sent in my CV and a month later started working at DHL Freight as a coordinator for Full Truck Load. This job was a chance to learn about the finer points and challenges of the logistics industry, which totally changed my plans for the future. When the launch for the new Transport Management System EVO began, I was able to join the implementation team, gain experience working on a project, and then train other employees as Head of the Training workstream. Following the successful EVO launch, I moved over to customer service. I learned a lot about groupage and was able to build an exceptional team, of which I am incredibly proud.
Tell us about your typical day at work.
In my current function, I optimize business processes (BPO) and am confronted with new challenges on a daily basis. Every day is unique and I really enjoy the dynamic environment, there are always unexpected problems to solve. I spend most of the day in meetings, working together with colleagues, and occasionally in contact with customers since I’m also responsible for business implementation.
What do you appreciate most about your team?
This Hungarian community has had a big influence on my life. The whole team is just amazing, and I appreciate working together with my colleagues every day. They’ve shown me the true meaning of teamwork and the importance of relying on one another. I firmly believe that our collective success is the result of the commitment, professionalism, and team spirit of my colleagues. So far I’ve experienced only support and appreciation.
What advice would you give to women who want to join Freight?
I wholeheartedly recommend it! Gender discrimination is something I just haven’t experienced in this company. This is a place where you can pursue your goals in a supportive community and highly professional environment. The company strongly promotes work-life balance, which I appreciate a lot.
