Lead times and border checks (Updated 15.02.)

Effective February 14, 2021, the Czech and Slovak Republics, as well as parts of the Austrian province of Tyrol, have been classified as a virus variant area by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). This means that a negative COVID 19 test, which is not older than 48 hours, is required to enter Germany also for our truck drivers. Due to the restrictions, there are currently significant delays at the following border crossings: AT-DE, CZ-DE, IT-AT
As the situation with the border queues is dynamic, please address your linehaul providers for detail where needed. Click here to see an overview of various constraints implemented by the countries across Europe.

Austria (Updated 05.03.)

Please note that the access to below locations in AT is restricted due to high number of covid cases (also for truck drivers). This is valid until 18.03. at 24:00h.

The access is only possible after having presented a negative covid test or with an "antigen" test not older than 6 months. Please note that we might face delays due to this in case pickups or deliveries are requested in this area.

France, Belgium, Ireland and Netherlands had suspended all accompanied freight traffic from GB for on 21.12.2020 for 48 hours.
Since 23.12.2020 incoming accompanied freight traffic from the UK is allowed again: the drivers will need to have a negative covid-19 test for this – made less than 72 hours before departure. Testing on the UK side of the Channel has already started, and Eurotunnel has resumed its work this morning.
Congestions at the border are still big and it will take time for them to ease - please consider this. We will closely monitor the situation.
