Virtualisation
What does Virtualisation mean?
Virtualisation, in the field of computer science, describes the replication of a software or hardware by an object of the same type with the help of an abstraction layer. With this, non-physical services and devices can be created - for example data storage, operating systems or network resources.
The same applications and operating systems can run on a virtualised hardware as on physical hardware. In addition, the virtualised hardware makes it possible to run several operating systems in parallel at any time.
