What is Road Traffic Regulations?
Road Traffic Regulations, known in Germany as Kraftverkehrsordnung (KVO), used to regulate the liability of transport companies in the domestic long-distance road haulage sector in Germany. KVO was repealed by the Transport Law Reform Act on 1 July 1998.
Before 1 July 1998, the KVO regulated the liability of transport companies in long-distance road haulage. With the Transport Law Reform Act, the distinction between local and long-distance transport was abolished, which also made the KVO superfluous.
