Order Picking Warehouse
What is an Order Picking Warehouse?
Order Picking Warehouse is a storage unit or facility where goods are made ready for picking. Unlike a conventional warehouse, the goods must always be accessible to the picker. In a picking warehouse, complete load units are not removed, no stockpiling or transfer of goods.
At all time, the needed goods are replenished as required from the supply warehouse to the picking warehouse. The picking warehouses are often used in dispatch centres or shipping departments.
