Minimum Weight

What is Minimum Weight in logistics?

As the name suggests, minimum weight is the heaviness of shipment in which a carrier uses to determine the minimum freight payable for transporting shipments. Regardless of how small or light shipments are, the freight is the same at a certain minimum.

The lowest weight a carrier can charge on any transported goods is referred to as minimum weight.
