Kanban System

What is a Kanban System?

Kanban is a Japanese scheduling system composed of a series of coloured cards identifying manufacturers, quality and the type of components required in a production line. The cards are placed into a container with a group of manufactured items to help identify those involved in the manufacturing process about the next stage of production. The Kanban system is used to prevent the buildup of excess inventory and to improve manufacturing efficiency.
