Freight and Cargo Exchange

What is a Freight and Cargo Exchange?

A freight and cargo space exchange is a virtual marketplace for forwarders and carriers, where missing and surplus freight and cargo space offers can be traded to achieve optimum capacity utilisation. Pure freight space exchanges are comparatively rare. They are combined as freight and freight space exchanges, so that both freight and free loading capacities can be traded there. To facilitate the hectic day-to-day planning, freight forwarders and carriers have access to numerous freights and free loading capacities from all over Europe in a freight and loading space exchange. This enables optimum capacity utilisation at all times.
