What is EORI number?

EORI means Economic Operator Registration and Identification. It is a unique number provided by the customs authority for businesses and people trading together within the European territory. Basically, EORI is used as an identification number in matters concerning any exchange of information between the traders and the customs administrators.

All established businesses in the European Union states are required to get the EORI number from their national customs administrations before the commencement of any customs related matters (import or export of goods). The identification number provides security and efficiency for both the businesses and the customs authorities.
