Channel Rack

What is a Channel Rack?

A channel racking is a variant of a rack storage system that enables several storage units to be stored one after the other in a square or channel. Such a channel racking system consists of several flow lanes or slide-in channels, which are arranged like honeycombs on top of each other and next to each other.

The individual channel racks are served by a forklift truck. With the help of devices such as shuttles or chain conveyors, the load units of the channel rack storage system can be moved within the channel. This space-saving method of storage is especially advantageous in the beverage and food industry. However, if storage is planned for a longer period of time, channel racking systems are generally not suitable.
