DHL Freight and the tech company SuperPanther signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the IAA Transportation trade fair in Hanover, Germany, in September. Both partners are committed to driving sustainable logistics. For this purpose, DHL Freight and SuperPanther are entering into a comprehensive collaboration on sustainable logistics solutions and the development of ecosystems for their implementation.
Partnership to Promote Carbon Neutral Road Freight Models
SuperPanther brings its technologies to the collaboration, while DHL contributes its experience in logistics and, in particular, as a pioneer in sustainable logistics. Both companies benefit: SuperPanther provides innovative electric truck solutions for DHL Freight’s own fleet and the fleets of its transport partners to promote more efficient and cost-effective electric operating models.
This will help accelerate DHL Freight’s progress in sustainable logistics and achieve its ambitious goals for zero-emission road transport. In turn, DHL will support SuperPanther’s growing logistics and supply chain requirements in its overseas markets.
SuperPanther
SuperPanther is a Chinese company founded in 2022 specializing in new energy technologies for medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles. SuperPanther has developed a skateboard chassis platform for electric trucks to provide zero carbon transport solutions. The company is also active in the European market and has partnered with a European OEM to start production of the first SuperPanther electric truck for the European market by the end of 2025: the eTopas 600, equipped with efficient LFP batteries with a range of 500 kilometers and a lifetime of 1.8 million kilometers.
Global logistics is at a historic turning point in the transition to new energy. As an innovative tech company, SuperPanther’s technologies and its strategy as an enabler of overseas business were key factors in our decision to partner with them. DHL has been running logistics for SuperPanther in Asia for years. Our collaboration with SuperPanther is mutually beneficial and complementary, as both parties share a common vision of advancing sustainable development in global logistics. We would therefore like to expand this successful cooperation to the rest of the world.

Joint Commitment to Sustainability for the Entire Industry
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between DHL Freight and SuperPanther provides for the joint research and development of new models of low and zero carbon emissions transportation for a greener future. DHL Freight will utilize its extensive experience and resources for a comprehensive and integrated cooperation in areas such as vehicle specification and procurement, operational optimization, energy supply systems, and supply chain optimization.
The horizon of the strategic partnership thus extends beyond the individual company’s own objectives: the models and findings will help the entire logistics sector in its sustainable transformation.
Green and sustainable logistics is an inevitable trend in the industry’s development. SuperPanther’s technology and energy replenishment ecosystem solutions can greatly support DHL Group’s zero GHG emissions transportation goals, further expanding the localization and global adoption of electric trucks in the European market.

Further Milestone in DHL Freight’s Sustainability Roadmap
The green logistics of the future is a comprehensive project that requires the involvement of many players. A partnership like the one with SuperPanther brings us one step closer to sustainability and our ambitious goal: DHL Freight and DHL Group have set a target to reduce all logistics-related emissions to net zero by 2050.
Already today, DHL Freight and DHL Group offer environmentally friendly transport solutions, not only in the field of e-mobility, but also in terms of reduced emissions using sustainable fuels such as HVO or bio-LNG and bio-CNG. We are also running pilot projects in hydrogen technology, such as the Paul Hydrogen Power Truck. With our GoGreen Plus services our customers can join us on this journey and effectively reduce their own emissions.
