What is the meaning of FIATA?

FIATA stands for Fédération Internationale des Associations de Transitaires et Assimilés, which is French. But its full meaning in English is International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations.

FIATA is a non-governmental organisation founded in 1926. It represents the freight forwarding and logistics companies globally. Basically, FIATA creates documents and forms for establishing a unified freight forwarding standard across the globe.
