Warehouse Technology

What is Warehouse Technology?

Warehouse technology deals with the storage and transport of goods within a company, which makes it an integral part of internal company logistics. As an interface between procurement, production, distribution and disposal, storage technology deals with warehouse equipment such as high shelves, archive racks, pallet racks, drive-in racks or flow racks.

Furthermore, internal transport, which is realised by means of conveyors, is also part of the warehouse technology. The means of conveyance include both continuous conveyors such as roller conveyors and discontinuous conveyors. The storage technology is of immense importance for the flow of materials within a company. It does not only ensure that work processes are as structured as possible but also increases the company's productivity and profitability.
