Transporter
What is a Transporter?
A transporter is a car, ship or plane with a significant cargo space suitable for long distance transport. There are basic type of transporter, namely: vans, transport ships and transport aircraft.
- Vans: are usually small, and it can be driven with a class B driving licence due to its permissible total weight of maximum 3.5 tons. Its payload is between 0.5 and 1.5 tons.
- Transport ships: also known as freighters or cargo ships, are merchant ships. Due to their construction, the ships are designed for the transportation of cargoes.
- Transport aircraft: are special form of cargo aircraft that are designed to transport freight, people or materials. They are robust, variable and reliable.
