Storage of Dangerous Goods

What is Storage of Dangerous Goods?

The storage of dangerous goods is governed by transport, packaging and labelling regulations. They therefore apply to the storage of chemicals and hazardous substances before, during and after transport - even if it is only a short time storage.

Dangerous goods are defined as dangerous substances which, due to their condition or at least one of their properties, pose a risk to life, public health and the Community. Dangerous goods are divided into different storage classes. However, not every hazardous substance has to be dangerous goods and be subject to the regulations for the storage of dangerous goods.
