What is Ocean freight?

Ocean Freight also referred to as sea freight is a mode of carrying big amounts of cargo across the sea. Typically, items are delivered by ship over the open ocean. There are numerous shipping methods available for various types of commodities. Container shipping, properly known as containerization, is one of the most used modes of transport. This method involves the shipment of goods in containers ranging in size from 20 to 40 feet. Ocean freight is primarily reliant on third-party freight forwarders.
