Logistics Controlling

What is Logistics Controlling?

Logistics controlling is the application of the controlling concept to logistics in order to enable the exploitation of rationalisation reserves. By creating a sound information basis, logistics processes can be planned, managed and controlled in a target-oriented manner. At the operational level, logistics controlling takes on the task of specifying logistical goals and making them measurable, supporting logistical planning and improving logistical efficiency through ongoing analyses.

From a strategic point of view, logistics controlling helps to integrate logistics into strategic corporate planning and to establish strategic control for logistics. In this way, logistics management objectives can be achieved in the best possible way.
