What is a Logistician?

A logistician is a person who oversees the activities revolving around the movement of goods or people. Sometimes, the logistician is involve in purchasing, inventory management and warehousing. The logistician is also directly involved in the movement of a range of consumer goods and military supplies.

To carry out a successful delivery, the logistician employs the use of software systems for planning and tracking the transfer of goods. Moreover, he facilitates the delivery of goods to the place of destination, and provides updates about the status of the shipment.
