Kitting

What is the meaning Kitting?

Kitting is the assembly of components, parts or finished products into a new, single item. This light assembly operation is sometimes executed in foreign trade zones or special economic zones. The term implies the making of a kit (a collection of items). As an example, five different types and sizes of screwdrivers can be kitted into a set of screwdrivers for sale.
