What does IALA stand for?
IALA stands for the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities, and it was previously referred to as International Association of Lighthouse Authorities.
IALA is a non profit, international organisation, founded in 1957. The organisation provides expert knowledge in navigation for different experts. It gathers together marine aids to navigation across the world by offering them the opportunity to exchange information, share technical experiences & achievements, and coordinate the improvement to aid navigation.
