Horse Transport

What is a Horse Transport?

Horse transport is the movement of horse from one place to another. When transporting horses, different means of transport can be used. In this context, it is important that the respective vehicle fulfils the animal welfare relevant requirements for the road traffic regulations.

Thus, the application for the one-time horse transport insurance must be submitted at least 24 hours before the planned horse transport. In addition, it is important to remember that the driver of the horse trailer or the corresponding towing vehicle has the correct driver's license: a class B driver's license and a class E trailer driver's license.

The maximum permitted speed for a vehicle and horse trailer combination is generally 80 km/h.
