Feeder

What is Feeder in Logistics?

A feeder is a small vessel that transfers goods to/from smaller ports and delivers them to the larger vessel for further transportation.

Smaller vessels can easily navigate through different ports and reduces the number of stops for the larger vessels. This type of vessel can also be referred to as a barge or lighter.
