Environmental Protection

What is Environmental Protection?

Environmental protection refers to the totality of all measures that serve to protect nature and human health. Its goals are to prevent, repress and repair of damage caused by emissions and climate change.

Environmental protection is becoming increasingly important, whereby the origin of its challenges lies in the rapidly growing world population. With increasing prosperity and a growing world population, global consumption has risen sharply. The consequence is that the production of goods such as cars, computers, cell phones, etc. is at the expense of the environment.

Huge amounts of greenhouse gases accumulate in the earth's atmosphere, where they form a kind of barrier. For this reason, the environmental protection is anchored in the German constitution as a state goal.

This refers to a practice undertaken by a government or organisation of protecting the natural environment and human health.
