Conveying Technology

What is Conveyor Technology?

Conveyor technology is used for the optimisation of in-house material flows. Academically, conveyor technology is a subdivision of mechanical engineering that deals with the planning, design, conception and execution of conveyors for conveying unit loads or bulk material.

An essential characteristic of conveyor technology is that it does not deal with long-distance transport but rather with the movement of goods in delimited operating areas. The conveyor technology components such as ropes, pulleys, pulleys, traction sheaves or rope drums are used for the movement of goods.
