Combined Transportation

What is a Combined Transportation?

A combined transportation is a type of transport system that combines two or more transportation mode for the delivery of goods. Basically, combined transportation takes the combination of transport by land and sea, and only a single document is needed to move good across the entire route.

The combined transportation reduces cargo handling charges, minimises damage or loss and improves security by allowing the freight to be transported faster. This system is also known as "intermodal" transport.
