Cargo Tracking Note

What is a Cargo Tracking Note?

A cargo tracking note, also known as a Waiver Certificate, is a shipping document needed when transporting goods to or through Central and Western African countries. The note must be filed before any shipment arrives at the port in order to clear customs.

The cargo tracking note is important for the African countries for controlling, supervising and managing import and export traffic within the region. The note contains details of the exporter or importer, shipment value, the method and type of shipment, freight cost, and the name of the vessel.
