What is the definition of BIFA?
The British International Freight Association is a non-profit making trade association based in the United Kingdom (UK). The organisation represents UK freight forwarders to transport goods internationally for the importing and exporting companies.
BIFA is owned by its members and under the management of a small secretariat, and acts on behalf of all its members in official business matters with non-governmental agencies and the governments. Moreover, the organisation is the voice and representative of freight forwarders for the UK industry in the international scene.
As one of the governing bodies of freight carriers, BIFA set the rules and standards for the industry in the UK.
