What is a Clean Bill of Lading?

So, a bill of lading is a legal document that serves as a contract between a shipper and a carrier. The document states the detailed information (number of goods, type and destination) regarding the shipments being transported.

A clean bill of lading is a document tenders by the carrier after the transportation to confirm that the shipment is received in good order. Before the document is provided, the carrier does a thorough check to ensure that goods were delivered to the agreed destination as received.
