Instead of running three main transport management software systems\nand surrounding applications, DHL Freight would soon be operating a single\nunified system called EVO. Compared to\nold solutions, EVO delivers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>more\ntransparency <\/li><li>automated\nworkflows<\/li><li>increased\nefficiency and<\/li><li>reduced\nwaste.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It thereby adds value for customers, suppliers, and\nemployees.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Optimized processes <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Historically, DHL\nFreight grew out of a heterogeneous mix of businesses that each ran their own\ndedicated transport management system. The different systems were connected but\nnever fully integrated with regards to deviating business logic. Interfaces\nwere required and cross border DHL Freight had to go through complex data\nvalidation procedures to ensure everything ran smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to EVO that is\nchanging. And soon all key processes \u2013 from order entry to invoices \u2013 will run\non a single IT platform with a centralized data base. When EVO is fully\nimplemented data will be completely transparent in real-time across all\ncountries within the network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Implementation in 32 countries<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By enabling a uniform standardized IT environment, EVO is helping DHL\nFreight to turn their digital future into reality. Currently, EVO is\nsuccessfully rolling out across France and should be fully implemented in 32\ncountries by 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to EVO, a new Customer Service tool called ICE is currently being introduced to measure and improve the DHL customer experience.
