Picking
What does Picking mean?
Picking refers to the process of collecting customer orders from the shelves and preparing them for shipping. The order is a compiled list of items which had been placed through one of the shops (online or offline) of a company.
Picking can be carried out manually or automatically. If it is done automatically, picking robots or machines are used. Manual picking, on the other hand, is carried out by means of barcodes, mobile data entry or picking slips.
